The Jolly Back Chair

The benefits of communicating with and assisting children at their height is widely known and accepted. However, this presents difficulties for adults who are naturally much taller. Poor postures are often adopted - bending, over-reaching and kneeling at low tables, twisting and bending when sitting on small chairs. dlb... have teamed up with Lorna Taylor, an experienced paediatric physiotherapist who specialises in back pain prevention management in schools. Lorna has developed the Jolly Back Chair after observing the working environments of adults with young children in a variety of educational, care and health settings. This has been combined with first-hand experience and consultations with teaching staff, nursery nurses and therapists to provide a chair which offers practical and health benefits to its users.
